Don’t give them the docs; just let them look at them. Good idea to join AOPA legal and call them if stopped. Also, you can printout the Checklist off AOPA.

Survey on $1 fuel in TX said they sold as much fuel in 1 week as they sell in 1 month and had to cut the promotion short.

Pig Roast Reminder: October 19, 2013 from 10am to 2pm.

Rooms for Oshkosh: Need deposit no later than December meeting. $70/night NO A/C, $120/night A/C. Do not need to know exact dates until spring.

Reminder: Cub Scouts will be at Deck Airport on November 2 at 10am to earn aviation badges. Anyone with a plane at Deck is encouraged to let the cub scouts inspect their planes.

New Business:

It was unanimously voted to hold Christmas at Cedar Grill at 6pm on December 12, 2013. John Hess will reserve banquet room at no charge.

Elections are to be held at December meeting; nominations to be taken at November meeting. Please come prepared.

Discussion of medicals; you can now fill out turbo medical form online on AOP A site and then use this information to complete FAA medical form. It looks for validation errors. Need doctor visit information for past 3 years. Need to complete medical form online at FAA and submit before you go to doctors so doctor can access your application through the validation code you receive. FAA.gov; med express airman certificate.

Congratulations to Mark Wicks’ son who is graduating and getting his wings. He is to find out soon what plane he is assigned.
